Updated:
The best thing about Kemer is how quickly the scenery changes. Canyons and mountain villages lie to the north, ancient cities, coves and Mount Tahtalı to the south. We have organised the sights into two routes so you can spend each day in one direction without wasting time on the road. Distances are approximate from central Kemer; opening hours and fees change, so check before you go.
In Central Kemer
Moonlight Park and Beach
Next to the marina, Moonlight Park is Kemer's favourite place for a swim and an evening walk, with pine shade and mountain views.
Kemer Marina
Boat trips leave from here, and in the evening its cafés and promenade make it the busiest part of town.
Yörük Park
An open-air site introducing the nomadic life of the Taurus Yörüks, ideal for a short cultural stop.
Northern Route: Göynük and Beldibi
Göynük Canyon
In Göynük, just north of Kemer, the canyon is one of the most visited places in summer thanks to its cool water. You can hike, swim and try zipline or rafting. Do not go beyond the narrow sections without equipment and a guide, and water shoes help on slippery rocks.
Beldibi Cave
North of Kemer, the walls of the Beldibi cave show prehistoric figures of people and animals, a quick stop with a very long history.
Route idea: Göynük Canyon in the cool of the morning, Beldibi in the afternoon, then back to Kemer for the sauna and hammam.
Southern Route: Phaselis, Tahtalı and Olympos
Phaselis
About 16 km from Kemer, Phaselis was founded by Rhodian colonists in the 7th century BC. Its North, Central and South harbours, Hadrian's Gate built for the emperor's visit in the 2nd century AD, the theatre and agoras make it one of the most impressive ancient cities in the region. Plan a swim in the nearby coves and go before the midday heat in summer.
Olympos Cable Car and Mount Tahtalı
The valley station is between Çamyuva and Tekirova. The 4,359-metre line takes you to the 2,365-metre summit of Mount Tahtalı, with views of the coast on a clear day. It is much cooler at the top, so bring a layer even in summer, and check the service on cloudy or windy days.
Olympos Ancient City and Beach
Walk among Roman and Byzantine ruins along the stream and follow it down to Olympos beach, a day in nature away from the crowds.
Çıralı and the Chimaera
Above Çıralı, natural flames burn from the rocks at Yanartaş all year. Legend places the fire-breathing Chimaera here, defeated by the hero Bellerophon on the winged horse Pegasus. Go towards sunset and take a torch.
Ulupınar
On the Olympos road, Ulupınar's streamside restaurants make a pleasant lunch stop.
Adrasan Bay
About an hour from Kemer, Adrasan's shallow, calm water and boat trips make it a great day out.
Route idea: Phaselis in the morning, lunch in Ulupınar, the cable car in the afternoon, the Chimaera in the evening. It is a long day, so keep the next morning free.
Relax After a Day of Sightseeing
After a canyon hike, an ancient city or the cable car, warming up in the sauna and steam room, a hammam scrub and foam and a short massage help you start the next day refreshed. Vois VIP Spa is in central Kemer, opposite the town hall, and open every day until midnight, so you can make it even after a long day out.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I see in Kemer in one day?
Choose the southern route: Phaselis, the cable car and the Chimaera in the evening. For a slower day, Moonlight Park, the marina and Yörük Park are enough.
Do I need a car?
The centre is walkable. For Phaselis, the cable car, Olympos and the Chimaera, a hire car or a tour makes things easier.
Which places suit children?
Moonlight Park, the cable car and Phaselis are easy with children; narrow canyon sections and long walks can be tiring for little ones.
