What Is a Balinese Massage? Balinese Aroma Massage in Kemer

The Balinese aroma massage is one of the most popular choices at our spa in Kemer. Aromatic oils, flowing strokes and a steady rhythm make it ideal for switching off on holiday.

What Is a Balinese Massage?

Inspired by the island of Bali, it combines long, flowing strokes, gentle stretches and soft pressure with aromatic oils. The aim is to relax the muscles and calm the mind.

How It Works

A short chat first

Your therapist asks about tense areas and your preferred pressure.

Aromatic oils

The scent supports relaxation. Tell us if you are sensitive to certain scents.

Rhythmic strokes

Back, shoulders, legs and arms are massaged with long, flowing movements; pressure can be adjusted at any time.

Who Is It For?

  • First-time massage guests
  • Anyone tired after a long journey or a busy sightseeing day
  • Those who like light to medium pressure

If you are pregnant, injured or have sensitive skin, tell your therapist before the session.

Balinese vs Other Massages

A Thai massage focuses on stretching and is usually done without oil, while the Balinese massage uses oil and is softer. For deeper warmth, try the hot stone massage.

Package 3 combines the hammam ritual with a 75-minute Balinese aroma massage. See current prices on the Packages page or read more on our Balinese Massage page.

How Long Is a Balinese Massage?

Usually 45 to 75 minutes. Shorter sessions focus on the back and shoulders, longer ones cover the whole body. In Package 3, a 75-minute Balinese aroma massage follows the hammam ritual.

Before and After

  • Avoid a heavy meal just before.
  • A few minutes in the sauna or steam room helps the muscles relax.
  • Tell your therapist about allergies, sensitive skin, pregnancy or injuries.
  • Afterwards, drink plenty of water and take it easy for a while.

Balinese vs Aromatherapy Massage

Both use aromatic oils and are relaxing, but the Balinese massage adds gentle stretches and rhythmic pressure, while the aromatherapy massage focuses on soft strokes and the effect of the scent.

When to Book in Kemer

  • On your first evening after the flight and transfer
  • After a tiring day trip to the Tahtalı cable car, Göynük Canyon or Olympos
  • On your last day, to unwind before travelling home

You can also enjoy it together as a couples massage.

How It Feels

Guests often say they feel lighter and rested afterwards, and many drift off to sleep during the massage. A Balinese massage is not a medical treatment and does not claim to cure anything; if you have ongoing pain or a health condition, see your doctor first. Not sure which massage to choose?
